At the 10th Convention Campus, we discussed the use of AI and digital technologies in event practice with experts from the industry. The focus was on the following questions:

  • How are digital tools and AI changing event planning?
  • What opportunities and challenges does the use of new technologies bring?
  • Digital helpers in the congress business: How AI is making the customer journey smarter.
  • How can success be measured using digital tools?
  • How can an event be tailored to different target groups with the help of AI?
  • What best practices and learnings already exist and how can they be transferred to your own formats?

AI-supported personas enable a much more precise target group definition.
Knowledge can be imparted faster, in a more structured and practical way with the help of intelligent tools.
Content automation (e.g. podcast directly after the presentation) increases reach and efficiency.

Voicebots and AI tools only work as well as the underlying data.
Data protection and transparency are essential, especially in the public sector.
Wiesbaden shows how innovation and compliance can be successfully brought together.

The keynotes impressively demonstrated the extent to which AI, data quality and digital technologies are shaping the future of event planning. From precisely addressing target groups to excellent guest service and measurable event success, modern tools are opening up new strategic opportunities. It became particularly clear: Innovation and creativity go hand in hand - and form the basis for future-oriented event formats that inspire and have a lasting effect.

The participants are very positive about AI in the event sector, already have experience and see a wide range of possible applications. AI is seen as a versatile tool along the entire event journey - from planning to communication and implementation. The event provided the majority of guests with new insights.
